The center will comprise
 
 
A 200m x 100m exhibition hall
 
 
An 80m x 90m plenary hall
 
 
A 60m x 90m convention hall
 
 
A 400m x 35m street area for exhibitions

The convention center will be one of the principal buildings on the Olympic Green and will host fencing competitions during the 2008 games, as well as provide a home for the International Broadcasting Center and the Main Press Center.

On completion, it will be an important multi-functional conference center for Beijing.
