(BEIJING, April 17) -- Members of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Beijing Olympic Games took a tea break to play table tennis with BOCOG officials at the Beijing Olympic Tower on Tuesday, as part of the on-going Haidain Community table tennis contests.

After a round of pushes and blocks, commission chairman Vein Verbruggen gave a thumbs-up to BOCOG President Liu Qi, who said the citywide table tennis contests have attracted up to one million Beijingers from 4,000 communities since their opening in March 2007.

Verbruggen said he was very happy to take part in such an activity in Beijing. IOC (International Olympic Committee) Olympic Games Executive Director Gilbert Felli also had a chance to play with Wang Qishan, Beijing Mayor and BOCOG executive president.

The game between Tang Xiaoquan, BOCOG executive vice-president and president of the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF) and Philip Craven, president of the International Paralympic Committee evoked applauses and cheers from the spectators including Deng Pufang, CDPF president and BOCOG executive president.
