(BEIJING, September 30) -- The deadline for payment collection from the Phase I Olympic ticket lottery winners has been postponed and a new channel for lottery and payment results has also been launched, according to the Beijing Olympic Ticketing Center.
Phase one winners can still pay at BOC branches after Sept. 30
To protect the interests of the ticket lottery winners, the Ticketing Center will postpone the deadline for the Phase I payment. Those who have not paid for their tickets can still submit a payment at 1,000 designated branches of Bank of China (BOC) after September 30. The ticketing center will decide on the deadline in consideration of the recent payment results.
Domestic buyers can inquire about the results online as of Oct. 2
As of October 2, buyers at home who have applied for Olympic tickets in the first phase will be able to check their lottery and payment results online -- site URL is www.tickets.beijing2008.cn.
Earlier, the ticketing center opened the toll-free hotline (+86 10 952008) on September 25 to deal with possible problems in the course of confirmation letter delivery and payment collection.
A reminder: No payment, no chance for Phase II lottery in late October
The ticketing center reminds the lottery winners to pay for the tickets at BOC as soon as possible, or else they will not be eligible for the ticket lottery in the second ticketing phase.
Following the yet-to-be-determined deadline, the tickets won through the lottery that are not paid for will be added to the pool of tickets for the second phase of ticket sales to the public.
