Young BOCOG staff vow before the Bird's Nest
(BEIJING, June 27) -- Thirty staff members of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) gathered at the site of the National Stadium on Wednesday to make a solemn vow to work hard and contribute to the success of the 2008 Olympic Games.
They took the vow because they had been admitted to the Communist Party of China (CPC). The party will celebrate the 86th anniversary of its foundation on July 1.
Liu Jingmin, Beijing vice-mayor and BOCOG executive vice-president encouraged them to cherish the title of party member and do their best in their work and life.
