The Olympic Games My Best Friend

My best friend Probably my best friend is one of my schoolmates. Her name is Marcela and we have known each other since we were 8 years old. It seems like she and I are always talking or laughing about something. She has a very nice personality and a wonderful sense of humor but she can also get a little depressed from time to time. I can always count on her to be honest and to give me the best advice. We are interested in many of the same hobbies. We both enjoy music, playing the guitar and singing. We like going to the cinema but sometimes can't agree on which movie to see. Sometimes we just walk around, trying to find a new area of the city to explore. We both like traveling, reading, and swimming. I know I can rely on her. Even when our lives get busy we still make time to see each other. I can't imagine going to school and not having her there. We are lucky that we complement each other so well and that we get along so well. I hope that our friendship will continue and be just as strong after we graduate from high school. We would like to study at the same university. 

My Best Friend
      Linda is my best friend. She is 15 years old. She is a pretty girl with a round face and two big black eyes. She always has a smile on her face. She is taller than I. Every morning, we go to school together. She studies quite well and she's a top student in our class. She is modest in her behavior. When I have difficulty in English, I always ask her for help. We are both interested in   music. At weekends, we join the same hobby group and play the  violin together. We like each other.

The Olympic Games
Bidding for the Olympic Games, in a way, an image-creating undertaking. The first and foremost thing is to let people fall in love with the city at first sight, attracting them by its unique image. It is known to all that the Beijing Municipal Government has already set the theme for the future games: New Beijing, Great Olympics. For me, the 2008 Olympics will be a great green Olympics illuminated with two more special colors, yellow and red. First, yellow is a meaningful color. The Yellow River is China's Mother River and the descendants of the Yellow Emperor. This color has a special origin and great significance for the Chinese people. Secondly, the 2008 Olympics will be a red pageant. Red is another traditionally cherished color for the whole country. We adore red. On big occasions, we like to decorate our homes in red. It is the color of double happiness, representing joyous moments, enthusiasm and prosperity. Red is one of the most suitable colors to describe the future of Beijing . Above all, the 2008 Olympics will be a green Olympics.

  Olympic games in my heart
The 13th July 2001,is a very special day, on that day, all my thoughts are focused on the bid of the Olympic games. When I hearing: the city of Beijing, Announced by Mr. Sam arch. I burst in to tears, laughter finally the time have arrived.From that moment, decided to become volunteer to serve my country. I will do my best to being up the good image of China to the foreigners.
In the pass years, I was inspired by the theme: New Beijing Great Olympics. Therefore I organized a environmental friendly campaign with the caption: the green Olympic stars with me, together with my team, we made a trip to MT Tai Hang to plant trees.
Then in august 2005, I took up part-time job as an assistant dance instructor. At that time, I was handling the group of young dancer with the performance: a small Olympic dream. I could see happiness in the 4 to 5 years old dancers; I could also see that the children are filled with passion and dream for the future. I know being able to hold the Olympic Games is not only an honor, but also recognition of China’s status in the world.

One world one dream lets look forward to sacred games that will bring us good hopes.
